As the City of Houston Solid Waste Management Department continues its second citywide pass for debris collection, we continue to ask residents to move their debris curbside. The second pass collects material such as debris from those homeowners who have already began work; homes that were untouched during the first pass; material generated due to leaking roofs or damaged outdoor property improvements (fencing) and green waste generated by fallen/broken trees or vegetation.
Have you checked on your neighbor? As you continue to work on your own home, make sure you check on your neighbors as well, especially if they are seniors or disabled. Offer to help them with their house clean-out and moving their debris to the curb. You can also help by reporting uncollected storm debris. Your neighborly actions help the City with storm debris removal efforts.
