Kingwood Drive Repairs

3/12/2016
Houston, TX - Two projects are scheduled to begin along Kingwood Drive on Monday, March 14 and Tuesday, March 15. The City of Houston's Public Works and Engineering Department (PWE) is scheduled to conduct repairs in the right lane, heading westbound, at 3800 Kingwood Drive in front of the entrance to Kingwood High School as well as install a crosswalk at the intersection of Kingwood Drive and Chestnut Ridge.

The goal of this effort is to preserve as well as to prolong the life of the road base while providing a smoother riding surface in addition to provide safety for pedestrians within our community. Crews will work between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.

During the project drivers should expect intermittent lane closures and delays in the area. To ensure driver and worker safety, traffic control measures will be in place on site including traffic barrels, arrow boards, barricades, traffic cones, directional signage and flagmen. The District E office has also contacted the Houston Police Department's Kingwood substation to ask that officers can monitor the location and provide assistance with traffic control as needed.

For more information on the upcoming repairs on Kingwood Drive, please contact the District E office at (832) 393-3008 or via email at districte@houstontx.gov.
