HOUSTON — Due to current winter freeze weather conditions, the City of Houston's Solid Waste Management Department adjusted residential collection services for the remainder of the week. Garbage collection and Heavy Trash services will run two days behind schedule through Sunday. Curbside recycling, tree waste, and yard waste collection services will be suspended for the remainder of the week through January 26, 2025.

CITY HOLIDAY: All Solid Waste facilities and offices are closed.
Tuesday, January 21, 2025
All Solid Waste collections will be suspended, and all facilities will be closed due to the inclement weather conditions.
Wednesday, January 22, 2025:
Monday's scheduled garbage routes and heavy trash are expected to be serviced, weather permitting. Weather conditions will be closely monitored to ensure the safety of our drivers and residents. Reminder that all curbside recycling, tree and yard waste collections will be suspended. All Solid Waste facilities and offices are expected to reopen.
